Terms of Service
Last updated: May 10, 2026
By accessing or using What-If Portfolio (the "Service") you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.
1. Service description
What-If Portfolio is a free, browser-based investment simulator. It allows you to construct hypothetical portfolios from publicly traded stocks, ETFs, cryptocurrencies and bonds, and to view simulated historical or projected performance based on third-party market data.
2. No financial advice
The Service is provided strictly for educational and informational purposes. Nothing on the Service constitutes investment, tax, accounting, or legal advice. All simulations are hypothetical and do not represent actual trades. Past performance does not guarantee future results. You are solely responsible for your investment decisions and should consult a qualified, licensed adviser before acting on any information shown.
3. "As is" — no warranty
The Service, including all market data, calculations, and projections, is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranty of any kind. We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, timeliness, or availability of price data sourced from Yahoo Finance or any other provider. Calculations may contain errors. Use the Service at your own risk.
4. Pro upgrade and refunds
The optional Pro upgrade is a one-time digital purchase that unlocks additional features on your account. Because the upgrade grants immediate access to digital content, all Pro purchases are non-refundable. You explicitly waive your statutory right of withdrawal under EU consumer law by purchasing and immediately accessing Pro features.
5. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Scrape, harvest, or systematically extract data from the Service.
- Redistribute market data obtained through the Service.
- Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or disrupt the Service.
- Use automated tools to generate excessive load.
- Use the Service in violation of any applicable law.
6. Intellectual property
All site content, design, and code are the property of What-If Portfolio or its licensors. Market data is the property of the originating exchanges and data providers.
7. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, What-If Portfolio shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits or investment losses arising from use of the Service.
8. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Ireland. Any dispute shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Ireland, without prejudice to mandatory consumer protections in your country of residence.
9. Changes
We may update these Terms periodically. Continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes acceptance.
