Cookie Policy
Last updated: May 10, 2026
A cookie is a small text file stored on your device by your browser. We use cookies and similar storage technologies (localStorage, sessionStorage) to run the site, remember your preferences, and — for free users — to display advertisements.
Essential storage (always on)
- localStorage — portfolio state. Your last simulator configuration (assets, weights, range) is kept locally so you do not have to rebuild it on every visit.
- localStorage —
cookie_consent. Records your cookie preference so the consent banner does not reappear on every page load. - sessionStorage — API cache. Temporarily caches market data responses for the current browsing session to reduce latency and avoid hitting rate limits.
- Authentication cookie (only if you sign in). Stores a session token so you remain logged in.
Advertising cookies (require consent)
We display ads to free users via Google AdSense. AdSense and Google's ad partners may set the following cookies:
__gads,__gpi— measure ad delivery and frequency capping.IDE,NID(set ondoubleclick.net/google.com) — used for ad personalisation and conversion measurement.- Additional cookies set by individual advertisers under Google's certified ad-tech partners list.
Read Google's full description at policies.google.com/technologies/cookies.
How to opt out
- Click "Manage Preferences" in our cookie banner (or revisit this page and clear your
cookie_consententry to make the banner reappear). - Use Google's controls at adssettings.google.com to disable personalised ads across Google services.
- Configure your browser to block third-party cookies (Settings → Privacy in most browsers).
Pro users
If you have unlocked Pro, no advertising cookies are set on your behalf and the AdSense script is not loaded.
